  • Completed a full library renovation and renewal improving accessibility, space usage, signage, and display
  • Created library guides including curriculum guides for units of inquiry for each grade that has received over 90,000 views (http://cis.libguides.com/TKlibrary/home)
  • Created a visual search guide for the library catalogue
  • Ensured a more diverse collection that reflects our student population by having books from many cultures and countries
  • Ensured the collection reflects the grade level and reading ability of our students by increasing the quantity and quality of books in the junior section
  • Enhanced virtual access to research resources through the library guides  and to information literacy lessons after lessons so students can continue to learn at home
  • Set up library information and education sessions for parents through the parents’ page and through structured information sessions on a bi-annual basis
  • Continued education, collaboration and updates for teachers on new tools, new resources and using existing resources, getting regular feedback and feed-forward at co-planning meetings
  • Enhanced Chinese literacy through increasing Chinese collection by over 2,000 books including new early readers and a weekly read-aloud in the library, as well as Chinese collection lists on the catalog and Chinese library guides for UOI and the employment of a Chinese speaking library assistant
  • Fostered a love of reading through the Blokes with Books club and Readers’ Cup (winning national competition in May 2016) and regular author visits.
  • Revamped and improved the collection of P-SEL (Personal Social and Emotional Learning) books and organising Professional Development (April 2017) for teachers and parents in their use
  • Attended workshops and professional development and been an active participant and presenter in national and international teacher-librarian organisations.
